Every year, The Ruthies Awards hold county wide elections for the community’s “Favorite” companies and professionals, from all around Middle Tennessee. However, for a few coveted award categories, The 2010 Ruthies have designated the definitive prefix of “Best”, rather than the usual notion of “Favorite”. These featured “Best of” categories are the key areas of commerce to vote for and watch, as they will likely affect the winner’s future the most.
In this week’s Ruthies “Best” Awards spotlight, we feature Julie Anderson of Toot’s Restaurant in Murfreesboro who is nominated for the highly sought after title of “Best Bartender in Rutherford County“.

Since 1985, Toot’s Restaurants have been serving up good food and fun to millions of hungry customers. Each of our four locations are a favorite place to meet up with friends and have a great time – at Toot’s the fun never ends!

Our History at Murfreesboro, TN
The original Toot’s location in Murfreesboro, Tennessee opened its doors on October 29th, 1985, making it the oldest full-service restaurant in Rutherford County.
Toot’s introduced Buffalo Wings to the Middle Tennessee area (they were only 10¢ apiece at the time!).
The original Toot’s restaurant was the location for several memorable events during this time. Two people who had met at Toot’s decided to have their wedding on the bar at Toot’s in 1988. Famed D.J. Wolfman Jack was given the key to the city of Murfreesboro on the bar at Toot’s in 1991.
A portion of the original “Are you ready for some football?” Monday Night Football opening routine was filmed at Toot’s in 1992, and the Jukebox that was used now hangs in the dining room.

Seven sauce choices to suit your taste buds. Our wings are a little bit different and that’s what makes them the best. Served with your choice of dressing or wing sauce.

Feeling like something on the lighter side? Don’t sacrifice flavor, order one of Toot’s signature salads or wraps. Always made to order with the fresh ingredients and flavors you expect from Toot’s.
Platters!
Don’t go home hungry! Choose one of Toot’s Big Ole Platters featuring our award-winning French Dip, Chick-On-A-Stick, and many more. All platters are served with Saratoga Chips, curly fries, hand-cut onion rings or steamed new potatoes. You can even order those “loaded”.
Ribs! Ribs! Ribs!
Lets face it, You’re Craving Ribs! Our succulent Imported Danish Baby Back rib platters include slaw and choice of Saratoga chips or steamed new potatoes. Really hungry? Pair those ribs up with some of our famous Buffalo-Style Wings or Chicken Fingers.
Burgers!
There’s nothing more American than Good Food and Fun, and that means Burgers at Toot’s. Enjoy a half-pound classic burger, or dress it with a our Black and Bleu or Mexican version. All burgers come with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion.
Sandwiches!
What happens between the bread….well it’s the best part. With countless sandwich options, from ham and cheese to our famous Reuben, or our more famous Philly Cheese Steak, you might have to come back again tomorrow!
Baskets!
Our baskets are a slam dunk. With all the choices on our menu, we had to make a few easy. Just select from Chicken Fingers, Catfish, Shrimp, Oysters, Clams or Frog Legs and we’ll fill you up with fries and our own special sauces. That was easy.
Quench It!
Thirst quenchers include soft drinks, teas and lemonades. Not to mention our selections from the bar.
Dessert
Our New York Style Cheesecake is the perfect way to top off your Toot’s experience. We have other choices too, but really, why should we?
